Dr Shuai Zhang

School of Pharmacy
Dr Shuai Zhang’s research mainly focuses on developing non-antibiotic anti-infection materials for medical devices, especially targeting biofilm inhibition and microbial resistance. His work includes designing anti-biofouling polymers, creating antimicrobial coatings, and exploring biodegradable nanodevices for osteoporotic fracture healing, with a strong emphasis on translating lab innovations into practical clinical solutions. He has collaborated internationally, published international peer-reviewed 28 publications with an h-index of 16, and contributed to the fields of bioengineering and antimicrobial surface technologies.
